Andayoma
About
French-born composer and singer-songwriter Andayoma, whose stage name is a portmanteau of her daughters’ first names, has a special place in the Singapore music scene, having made a distinct impression with her Creole roots, Caribbean rhythms and her ironic, joyful and nostalgic jazz. Andayoma settled in Singapore in 2001 and began her career as a singer, nurturing a growing passion for songwriting and composition. Her new life in Asia provided allowed her to step back and observe her contemporaries. She sees music as the perfect medium to express her thoughts on life’s contradictions and the tangy complexity of human relationships.
